March is out and we're still in. Welcome to another monthly report!
Somewhat of a short update this month as we're underway with work on the music for The Father's Story. Much of the month has been tasked with prepping potential song ideas for the musician whose work was going to begin towards the end of the month. So far we've got some solid ideas down to develop from.
All in all, we're looking at both current period specific audio pieces that you see in other film and media, as well as potential new ideas. Surprisingly there is actually a wide range on pieces that have been done before for first century settings. This will help us establish our own baseline.
One of the problems with other genres is there is often a movie that is so iconic that everyone copies it and the music in it becomes the defacto standard. Saving Private Ryan is one such film as Medal of Honor and many other titles used the same style for decades.
In April we'll have more updates as the musician will have some solid time to work with potential themes. We also may be bringing in a second musician to help with the schedule of the first.
The other thing we worked on in March is we started a long look at TyranoBuilder Next mod. It pretty much converts Tyrano into VN Effector but works with the base Tyrano version. So far, we're mildly impressed. The amount of resolution improvements is rather impressive. Up to handling 4K. Something Tyrano never did.
Given we've already got part of Raven's Prayer in Tyrano before we started looking at Naninovel, this gives us a solid look at whether or not we still use Tyrano for anything. We do have our converter tool for converting Tyrano files to Naninovel so, we're looking at the possibilities for porting quicker.
We'll update in time with that as we go. For now, focus is on getting the Father's Story out later this year and we're all hands on deck towards that goal! So, till next time, see you in the skies!
